Vicky Boreyko began working at UPPS in 1998 shortly after moving to Chapel Hill from NH with her husband, John, and their 3 children. Before moving here Vicky ran her own preschool out of her home as well as teaching swimming and art lessons. As a teacher in the Transitional Kindergarten class, she especially enjoys engaging the children in hands on science and nature activities, as well as designing creative literacy lessons. Vicky has a BS degree in both Early Childhood Education and Music Education. As a recent "empty nester", Vicky enjoys reading, swimming, gardening and hiking with her rescue dog Sydney.
Rachael has been teaching in the Transitional 5's class since 2007. Prior to that, she taught locally as a third and fourth grade teacher. She has a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Cortland College in New York. She later attended UNC Chapel Hill for training in Learning Disabilities and later worked as a specialist. Rachael enjoys working with children, especially with this enthusiastic age group. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Sean, and her children, Ethan and Anna.
