LEE ANN BUCK
Lee Ann Buck came to UPPS in 2000, first teaching in the 4 year-old-class and currently in the M/W/F 3's. She teaches with Ms. Libby and loves infusing learning, creativity, and socialization all in the realm of having "too much fun." She holds two degrees, a RN in nursing and one in education. She is married to Scott, and they have two grown sons, Ben and Evan. She enjoys spending time with her family, biking, tennis, gardening and monogramming. She is an active member at University Presbyterian Church.
Nathalie became a certified Montessori teacher 16 years ago and has since worked as a lead teacher in both the United Kingdom and the USA. Nathalie is originally from Switzerland and her mother tongue is French. When her children were younger she used to run a French after school club from her home in Chapel Hill. Her husband and two daughters 13 and 16 years old moved here from England around 10 years ago. In her spare time Nathalie enjoys reading and making jewelry.
Libby Fosso is a big fan of imagination and delight. Prior jobs at Monticello and art museums fuel her interest in creativity and education. Her two daughters have taught her about special needs/autism, creative writing, and the importance of patience and good humor. Libby enjoys potlucks, a good poem, mismatched socks, and having “too much fun” in the three-year-olds’ class.
It was a natural fit for April to earn her degree in education since she has always had a continuous desire to learn and comes from a family of teachers. She spent many years in a preschool classroom before electing to stay home with her two young sons. She delights in the enthusiasm and curiosity of young children and looks forward to creating meaningful relationships with the children and families at UPPS. April grew up in Ohio, but she and her husband have happily called Chapel Hill home since 2001. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, reading, and spending time with her family at the beach.
